What We Do

The Pacific Institute is catalyzing the transformation to water resilience in the face of climate change by 2030. Our work aims to ensure people, nature, and economies have the water they need to thrive. We’re focused on four Impact Areas with outsized potential for accelerating action.

Our work addresses climate impacts on access to water, sanitation, as well as livelihoods and wellbeing for frontline communities in the Unites States and the most overburdened and under-resourced communities around the world.

Our work is at the forefront of evaluating water efficiency and reuse opportunities, driving innovation, and scaling proven approaches.

Our work focuses on increasing the use of nature-based solutions that support more climate-resilient water systems and the communities they support.

Our work mobilizes the private sector to build water resilience in business operations and across entire supply chains including driving collective action in the world’s most water-stressed regions.
