Katherine Halama

Katherine Halama is an intern at the Pacific Institute, where she is supporting the Salton Sea Air Quality Assessment alongside Michael Cohen. The project consists of a literature review and inventory of air quality contaminants and sources, which will inform current and future projects implemented in the Salton Sea Basin to address air quality challenges.

Katherine is a current master’s student at the University of Colorado Boulder, focusing on environmental and natural resources policy. She is primarily interested in water management and policy in the Western U.S. and the Colorado River Basin, as well as renewable energy development, air quality, and sustainable land use. Katherine holds a B.A. from the University of Colorado Boulder in Environmental Studies.
