Raquel Ortuño joined the Pacific Institute in 2023 as a Senior Communications and Global Events Manager, collaborating with the CEO Water Mandate. The Mandate is a joint initiative between the UN Global Compact and the Pacific Institute, aiming to expedite progress against the global water crisis, particularly amidst the escalating impacts of climate change. It draws strength from leading corporations, with direct and active involvement from their senior leadership.

Raquel brings to the Pacific Institute over a decade of international experience in both multinational corporations and nonprofit organizations. Throughout her career, she has successfully implemented communication strategies and initiatives at both local and global scales.

Raquel holds a master’s degree in communications from the University of Lille 1 in France, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Managerial Communications from Universidad San Francisco in Quito, Ecuador.
