Becky Anderson joined the Pacific Institute in 2024 as a Researcher in Water and Climate Equity. Her work focuses on advancing equitable water and climate practices, policies, and technologies in frontline communities through interdisciplinary and collaborative approaches.
Before joining the Pacific Institute, Becky worked as a Program Manager at a national environmental nonprofit, where she collaborated with under-resourced communities to support locally driven water projects, focused on equitable, sustainable, affordable, and climate-resilient strategies. Previously, she conducted research on agricultural perspectives regarding water and climate change in the Colorado River Basin. Becky has also collaborated with nonprofits and universities to review Groundwater Sustainability Plans in California, advocating for environmentally and socially just water policies.
Becky holds a B.S. in Earth Sciences from The Ohio State University and a M.S. in Geography from Portland State University, where her thesis integrated natural and social science to examine the equity implications of water efficiency tradeoffs.
