Water Resilience Assessment Framework: Guidance for Water Utilities

Overview

The “Water Resilience Assessment Framework: Guidance for Water Utilities” is the second in the series and empowers utilities to embark on a journey of resilience-building, enabling them to not only survive but thrive in the face of climate stressors and other uncertainties.

With climate change intensifying and water-related shocks becoming more frequent, the global water crisis is escalating at an alarming rate. The pressure falls on utilities, the backbone of urban water supply, to adapt and build resilience in the face of mounting challenges.

The guidance provides pathways for:

  • Understanding an organization’s state of resilience
  • Developing a resilience strategy and taking appropriate resilience actions
  • Identifying resilience indicators to measure progress

This guidance was a collaboration between the CEO Water Mandate and the Alliance for Global Water Adaptation (AGWA).
