Staff, Board, and Advisory Council: Karina Desouza
Karina joined the Pacific Institute in 2018 as a senior researcher. Her work focuses on the development and advancement of sustainable water use and management practices globally. Karina is the co-lead for research on the harmonization of corporate water assessment and disclosure at the Institute. She has nearly two decades of experience as a hydrogeologist and water management professional in various roles across the environment, international development and business sectors in the UK, most recently working in environmental risk reporting and water stewardship advocacy.
Karina received a B.Sc. in Earth Sciences from the National University of Ireland, Galway and a Master’s degree in Hydrogeology and Groundwater Chemistry from the Postgraduate Research Institute of Sedimentology, University of Reading.
