Dr. Delilah Griswold joined the Pacific Institute in 2026 as a Research Specialist on the Water and Climate Equity Program. Her research background focuses on water insecurity, climate equity, and nature-based climate adaptation, with particular attention to foreshore governance and community-based adaptation in the Pacific Islands and Appalachia. Delilah previously held policy and program roles at the International Union for Conservation of Nature, including Programme Officer for Climate Change and Ecosystem-based Adaptation, and continues to collaborate with IUCN on global nature-based solutions policy. Most recently, she served as Assistant Director of Warren Wilson College’s M.S. in Applied Climate Studies, coordinating research on community resilience following Hurricane Helene.

She holds a Ph.D. in Global Development from Cornell University, an M.Sc. in Environmental Science from Yale University, a M.A. in Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law School and speaks Fijian and intermediate German.
