On January 9, the Sustainable Viticulture Forum: Technology and Water will be presented by the CEO Water Mandate, Pacific Institute, Imagine H2O, Napa Valley Grapegrowers, California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance, and Sonoma County Winegrowers. The forum will explore the wine industry’s major sustainability challenges in water and how and where innovation and technology solutions can help solve problems.
Growers attending the forum will engage in peer learning and share best practices around water sustainability, interact with ag-tech solution providers to explore opportunities for innovation through technology, and converse with state agency representatives and sustainability professionals about expectations and the best ways to meet shared goals.
The forum’s topics will include scaling innovative irrigation technologies and practices (including remote sensing, precision irrigation, and water reuse), improving water supply reliability while mitigating physical and regulatory water risks, and addressing challenges and barriers to the adoption of technological innovations.
The event will take place on January 9 at Shone Farm on 7450 Steve Olson Lane in Forestville, Sonoma County, California.
