- Description:
-
- Abstract:
-
This file includes only healthcare facilities in California which are located within the areas that would be inundated by a 100-year coastal flood. The metadata from the Heathcare Facilities shapefile is also included here.
The Licensed Healthcare Facilities point layer represents the locations of all healthcare facilities licensed by the State of California, Department of Health Services (DHS), as of the publication date. Facility address information is maintained and provided by the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD). Facility types include hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, etc.
- Purpose:
-
The Licensed Healthcare Facilities map layer provides location information for mapping healthcare facilities in California that would be inundated by a 100-year coastal flood under current conditions.
- Supplemental_Information:
-
Licensed healthcare facility address data are extracted from the the Automated Licensing Information and Report Tracking System (ALIRTS), an OSHPD information system. All address data are validated against a U.S. Postal Service address database and geocoded using ArcInfo Desktop 9.x against Tele Atlas (GDT) Dynamap/2000 reference data sets, v13, 14, 15.
