Abstract:
This dataset shows the footprints of wastewater treatment plants (WWTP's) in the San Francisco Bay that are potentially vulnerable to a 100-year coastal flood with a 1.4 meter sea level rise.
Purpose:
Locate WWTP's vulnerable to a 100-year coastal flood with a 1.4 meter sea-level rise.
Supplemental_Information:
The footprints of the WWTP's were digitized over aerial imagery from NAIP (2005) and Google Earth.
Point data for WWTP's were downloaded from the EPA's PCS (Permit Compliance System) database at: <http://www.epa.gov/waterscience/ftp/basins/gis_data/>

The land surrounding the San Francisco Bay was scanned at a scale of 1:10,000 for WWTP's. Where points were already located, the footprint was digitized. In a number of cases, WWTP's were located with no associated point. These locations were also outlined and identified via telephone communication with associated communities.
