On Wednesday, October 17th, Pacific Institute President Jason Morrison will speak at the VERGE 18 Conference in Oakland. Pacific Institute Research Associate Cora Kammeyer will also be in attendance at the conference which runs from Tuesday, October 16th through Thursday, October 18th. The mission of the conference is to accelerate the clean economy by convening leaders from companies and utilities, city and regional governments, policymakers, NGOs, solution providers, and startups. The conference serves as a forum to discuss pressing challenges and identifying cross-cutting solutions that build economic and community resilience.
Jason will speak as a part of the breakout session “Circular Water: Strategies for a Resource-Constrained World” which will address both private and public sector strategies for water management as they relate to drought, increasing demand, and climate change. The session will take place Wednesday, October 19th, from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM at the Oakland Convention Center at 550 10th Street, Oakland, CA 94607.
