Meet Our Communications Intern Paige Lary

Paige Lary joined the Pacific Institute as a communications intern in the fall of 2019. She writes social media posts and website content and helps track the organization’s online presence.

Growing up surrounded by wilderness, Paige says she grew to love the natural world, particularly “the beautiful and complex nature found within California.” At the Pacific Institute, Paige says enjoys being “part of an organization that helps to make the world a better, more knowledgeable, and environmentally-friendly place.” In the future, she would like to play a part in the “global discussion on climate change and water issues” by filming documentaries on these vital topics. She says the communications internship position has been a great first step to learn the basics of communications, and has introduced her to “new ideas involving sustainability, water use, and climate change research,” among many other topics.

Paige is a Film and Media major at the University of California, Berkeley. In her space time, she enjoys hiking, spending time outdoors, and getting to know the Bay Area.
