CEO Water Mandate to Participate in United Nations High Level Political Forum

The United Nations Global Compact’s CEO Water Mandate , for which the Pacific Institute is co-secretariat, will participate in a number of events at the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development from July 9th to 18th in New York, New York.

On Monday July 9th, Pacific Institute Senior Researcher and Water Stewardship Co-Lead Mai-Lan Ha will speak at a session on global progress on water and sanitation from 6:30-8:00p.m EST. She will discuss UN-Water’s Sustainable Development Goal 6 Synthesis Report.

On Friday July 13th, Ms. Ha will speak about the Business Alliance for Water and Climate.  

The following week, as part of a United Nations Global Compact event on strengthening the business case for water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), on Tuesday July 17th Pacific Institute President Jason Morrison will speak on catalyzing private sector engagement on WASH. The event will take place from 7:45-8:00a.m.

On Wednesday July 18th, the CEO Water Mandate, along with the Mission of Switzerland to the United Nations, will host an event on corporate water stewardship’s contribution to the achievement of United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 6, which calls for clean water and sanitation for all. The event will take place from 2:00-4:00p.m. EST.
